We enjoyed panoramic views along the Moyenne Corniche; I love how the Maritime Alpes dropped straight to the sea, with little cities scattered here & there.
Next stop, Nice, France -- the center of the French Riviera!
Upon arriving in Nice, I got the vibe it was sort of a "resort town"; filled with lots of laid back vacationers, a smattering of vibrant and pastel color combos, and even some palm trees. Though it was still a bit chilly, the sun was out & people were playing on the beach. The beach, by the way, is all rocks...
We instantly took in the sunny weather and fun seaside scenery, dipping our toes in the Mediterranean and strolling along the Promenade des Anglais.
The Promenade des Anglais is a paved walkway that stretches 7 kilometers for pedestrians. Across the street, you'll find hotels, restaurants, and shops. The Promenade des Anglais offers access to the beaches and every so often you'll find an empty bench, which gives strollers the opportunity to sit back, relax, and even catch an afternoon snooze -- which Zac & I did. They say Nice is a place to enjoy life -- to take in the sea & soak up it's energy.

Old Town Nice has a distinctive Italian flare -- it reminded me a bit of Venice, with it's cobblestone streets, narrow alleys, & colorful buildings.
Drink up friends! Next up, Saint Paul de Vence!
