Family Date Night | Green Bay's Titletown

In the shadow of Lambeau Field, sits Titletown, which provides year round fun for all.  With a full-size football field, playground, lots of outdoor games, and in the winter time, ice skating & tubing -- play, stay, eat & relax is their motto, and so we did just that!

This was our first visit, and we'll definitely be back!

We sat under the heat lamps, and watched the ice skaters twirl around the rink, but Ellis's favorite part was actually watching the Zamboni -- he called it the tractor on ice.

Then we burned off some energy on the football field.

"Hey Rogers, I'm open!!"

We had arrived just in time to see the Winter Jubilee Light Show, which played every half hour, so we actually got to see it twice!

And then of course, we warmed up with some hot cocoa (and hugs! <3)

With Christmas music playing throughout the park, the trees lit up with lights, and freshly fallen snow on the tubing hill, it was a perfect little evening to kick off the season of Christmas.

The Farm in Door County

Before Cherry picking in Door County, we took Ellis up to The Farm... scratching another adventure off the Summer List.

We were already 100% sure that he'd love it, since he just adores animals.

And, sure as sugar, Ellis had the time of his life.

I like a lot of things about The Farm, but my two favorites are #1 how clean it is and #2 how you get to interact with the animals.

I'm fairly certain there are few things in life more precious than a baby feeding a baby goat.

Truth be told, I think Zac enjoyed himself too...

Also, shout out to whomever keeps up the flower garden... the blooms were on point!

Definitely put The Farm in Door County on your To Do List... it's still summer, after all!

Cherry Picking in Door County

A couple weeks ago, both Ellis & I experienced one of our first "firsts" together... cherry picking!

Earlier in the day, we took Ellis to The Farm (pics to come soon!) and we weren't ready to call it a day yet, so Zac had the impromptu idea to go cherry picking.  Ellis was so good at apple picking in fall & strawberry picking in June, we thought hey... why not?

It was a great idea, butttttt it was also 90 degrees that Sunday, with like 85% humidity.  I legitimately sweated through my shirt, but by golly we had fun!

We went to Robertson's Orchards & picked 2 varieties of sweet cherries and raspberries...I highly recommend!   I typically don't really care for cherries, but these were good.

You can't cherry pick & not taste test!

A sweet, summer treat and an even sweeter memory. <3

The day Ellis turned into a strawberry.

You know that part in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory when Mrs. Beauregarde shouted, "Violet, you're turning Violet!" as her daughter was turning into a giant blueberry & they had to roll her away?

That is basically what happened to Ellis in the strawberry patch.  Every single time I looked at him, he was eating a strawberry.  The green stem & all...  I literally had to drag him out of the patch when we were done picking.

This here folks, is a real life kid turning into a strawberry...

I'm happy to report that it only took 2 days for the strawberry stains to go away on his chin & hands.  He is back to his normal self, but still lovvvveeessss strawberries!
